Overall Satisfaction with Sprout Social

We use Sprout Social for social listening, content planning and scheduling, and community management. As a not-for-profit organization, we find it helps us monitor and quickly address customer concerns, share good news stories in a timely manner, and keep our finger on the pulse of what people are talking about in the online community.

  • Sprout Social accurately categorizes sentiment in social listening, which helps us manage our time and focus on what's important.
  • Sprout Social is an easy tool for scheduling content and adding details like first comment and Instagram post links at the planning stage.
  • Sprout Social is well set out and thorough in monitoring and responding to community management concerns.

  • Sprout Social could improve by adding alt text for Instagram (this may be an API limitation).
  • Sprout Social could improve it's filtering in the social listening space.
  • Sprout Social could improve its Instagram publishing feature by suggesting relevant and popular hashtags.
  • One positive impact has been a huge time saver for our team. Where we once had multiple systems and delays from producing content to approval to publishing, now everything is seamless.
  • Another positive impact is streamlining the onboarding process for new team members. Sprout Social is user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy to study even for someone completely new to social media.
  • One negative impact has been the time it takes to wade through irrelevant social listening posts. The filtering is not effective enough to eliminate the noise.
Sprout Social's reporting features have helped us enormously in our social efforts. Where we previously struggled to help our C-suite leaders understand social media's impact and value, we can now generate simple reports that tell the story. Our senior leaders are much more engaged and supportive of our social media strategy.
Sprout Social is super easy to use, even for someone completely new to social media or jumping into the team to fill a temporary gap. It requires little training and is set up to allow you to "play around" with the program without risk. Numerous safeguards are in place in the settings to prevent errors in publishing.

Sprout Social is well-suited for users with all levels of experience in social media publishing. It has a simple user interface and a great structure for approving content from new users. On the other hand, Sprout Social can be clunky for social listening when you're monitoring a specific news topic. It can be difficult to filter relevant content and exclude irrelevant posts.
