Overall Satisfaction with Sprout Social

I use Sprout Social to manage social media campaigns, focusing mainly on leveraging Employee Advocacy to drive revenue without relying on the company’s ad spend. The platform addresses a key challenge by offering multiple tools to boost engagement and outreach, all within a single, streamlined interface. One of Sprout Social's standout features is the ability to connect numerous accounts, customize posts for each platform, and schedule them to go live simultaneously—a huge time-saver for efficient campaign management.

Pros

  • For each account, customize posts for each platform, and schedule them to go live simultaneously.
  • Employee Advocacy via Sprout Social has integrated AI assistance for captions. Usually I would generate one suggested caption for employees to use/stem from when re-sharing to their socials. But now, EA message ideas display in random orders to better promote the full range of content.
  • Sprout Social has made the option to gamify the sharing concept quite easily with Employee Advocacy. Using the Leaderboard feature, employees can earn points in Employee Advocacy. Customized point values ensure you know how to climb the Leaderboard and start some friendly competition.

Cons

  • I would like for Personal Instagram Accounts to be able to integrate with Sprout Social's Employee Advocacy platform. You are able to connect personally accounts to Sprout Social itself, which is great, but for employee re-sharing internal stories, this is not possible unless it is with a Business Instagram account.
  • I would like for the left hand tool bar to be more user friendly. There are so many tools and settings that are available, and I would like for it to be simplified in a way that makes it less cluttered.
  • An improvement can be made with the Sprout Social Mobile App. The user friendliness of the app does not allow as much autonomy as the regular webpage.
  • For the month of January 2025, On Sprout Social, through the Employee Advocacy platform, we have shared a total of 20 internal stores available for employees to share to their personal or business social media platforms. Based on each employees reach, and re-post data tracking, we have earned $1,669.00 in EMV (Earned Media Value) which took none of the companies spend budget towards Ad spend - all organic based earned income. I love this feature because individuals trust levels to convert is higher when the advertisement is coming from someone who is employed for the company/product being advertised.
As the majority of our company’s revenue comes from our digital advertisement and media campaigns, by leveraging Sprout Social for our social media campaigns, our company has seen an impressive ROI increase of over 100% within my campaigns alone that I’ve managed. Although not all of the online platforms have generated the sales, the leads we generated from the campaign, are funneled to our sales team, which have generated our sales to sky rocket. The platform's ability to streamline content management, track engagement, and optimize performance has played a HUGE role in driving this growth.
I gave this rating an 8 due to the fact that Sprout Social has made integration with multiple platform's very seamless. I love that we're able to have a version of a preview of what your post or broadcast will look like on the intergraded platform, prior to it being posted. The only reason this rating was not a 10/10 is due to the fact that we are not able to integrate a personal Instagram account to the Employee Advocacy, only business Instagram accounts.
I would rate Sprout Social’s overall usability a 9/10. It’s clear that the web developers have invested a good amount of time and effort into simplifying the user experience and ensuring a user-friendly platform. Additionally, the very in-depth onboarding sessions with their representatives provide great support, making it easy to get answers to any questions and navigate the platform with ease after the meeting.
When scouting different social media management platforms, Sprout Social stood out as the best choice despite other companies offering competitive features and lower rates. Some key factors solidified our decision to stay with Sprout Social. One major drawback we noticed with ione of the competitors was that their Advocacy extension operated under a completely different website name, making the experience kind of disjointed and confusing. Also, unlike Sprout Social’s 24-hour (or less) response time, another competitor’s customer service was based overseas, which limited our ability to resolve issues efficiently I assume. The combination of Sprout Social’s integration and support pretty much made it the clear winner for our needs.

I use Sprout Social to efficiently manage social media campaigns across multiple platforms. If you're looking for a tool to streamline and organize multiple accounts across various social networks, I highly recommend Sprout Social. However, if you're only managing a single profile on one platform, Sprout Social may not be necessary.

6 - The business functions that the 6+ employees represent are our company are Head of Social Media, Digital Marketing Managers, Employee Advocacy Specialist, and Social Media Analysts. They all utilize Sprout Social as a means of organization and efficiency. When multiple platforms that all require different tones, graphics, copy, it can become overwhelming, But with the Help of Sprout Social it aids these needs.

I would do a more in depth company call and ask the representatives to share their screens and provide a more in depth demo for each process.
