Overall Satisfaction with Contractor Foreman

We use Contractor Foreman daily to manage our entire company. From tracking leads through their CRM, to estimating projects, to proposals, to project management, to time tracking, daily logs, vehicle and equipment logs and more. CF has done a great job of providing most or all of the features we needed and were looking for.

Pros

Cons

  • Ability to separate profit margin and overhead.
  • The ability to account to more decimal places.
  • Phone support. Sometimes it's must easier to explain something by talking rather than typing.
  • Saves us money while helping us stay productive.
  • Great price locked in forever.
  • Field reporting is a breeze and detailed.
For the most part, it's straightforward and intuitive. There are, however, some little aspects that could be changed for an even better user experience. Things that would save users keystrokes and time. There are also a few times when something that should or could be simple seems a little more complex.
It all comes down to the number of features that Contractor Foreman packs into their software for the price they charge. I think it stacks up against Procore but for a small fraction of the cost. They offer more features geared to the commercial GC then other software companies priced around them.

It's fantastic for the price for the commercial contractor. We switched from Buildertrend because we felt Buildertrend focused only on residential builders, and we were strictly commercial and industrial. This software provided the features that Buildertrend didn't. And the cost is fantastic.
